Starting from 2007, we have supported the building of CHOM SA VANG middle school and RAO NAN Primary School in Laos and Notisitha Middle School in Cambodia. We provided donation to the government of Lao PDR for improving teaching facilities and building temples along with buses. We actively take part in the Tree Planting Day in Laos. We built new homeland for the immigrants from Dapein I hydropower plant reservoir. CDTO is also an active participant in donating activities in Cambodia and Myanmar.
The government of Lao PDR is awarding a certificate of merit to CDTO for sponsoring the construction of RAO NAN Primary School on May 7, 2008. This is the second school constructed under the sponsorship of CDTO after CHOM SA VANG middle school in Vientiane, aiming at improving the teaching facilities in the backward areas in Laos.
Notisitha Middle School in Pursat Province, Cambodia was built and put into use under the sponsorship of CDTO in July, 2010. The middle school, with a gross area of 972 square meters, costs more than $100,000.
In 2010, Datang (Yunnan) United Hydropower Developing Co., Ltd built new homeland for the residents in the inundated areas of Dapein I HPP reservoir. On Dec. 14, Village Office and Church in Hongbeng River Village are formally completed and local residents come for congratulation.
In order to facilitate the transportation for residents on both sides of the river, a cross-river cable bridge sponsored by CDTO was built in the downstream of Dapein I hydropower plant dam.
